GANGS WORK THE KARAMEA,

CHEISTCHUKCH, This Day. The waterside workers responded to a call for labour at Lyttelton this morning, and proceeded to load r2,OOCL carcasses of meat on the Karamea. The meat was killed last season under the old award, and it is understood that the men received instructions last night that the .loading should proceed. The Operations were carried out without any sign of trouble.

The Karamea leaves to-morrow for New Plymouth.
