MEETING AT TE HORO
There was a fair attendance at the November meeting of tho To. Hpro Women's ..Institute; at which Mrs. Blake presided. The president introduced the new secretary, Mrs. H. Lunisden, who was welcomed with hearty applause. It was.with great, regret that; the resignation' of Miss'Ashdown, the . former secretary, was '■."received. ~ "Mrs. Lumsdeii gave a wery*:'interesting and useful' .demonstration; "of cakebasket making. ' '■; "'" !. 'i'r "''. • Two,competitions were held. One, for a Christmas gift costing less than a shilling, was won by Miss Ashdown, with Mr"s. Enipson" second. Mrs. -Morton was first for the best plate of pikelets, and Miss Ashdown second. A very enjoyable tea was served, the hostesses being Mrs. Hagan and Misses Kirker, A.yery, and Hagan. .
