WEDDING

HERON—SMITH.

The wedding was celebrated recently at St. Augustine's Church, Petone, of Ruby Alice Smith to David Edward Heron. The Rev. S. V: Gera-rd, M.A., officiated. The bride wore a long frock of, white crepe satin, -with silk lace '_ coatee' clasped with 'diamante buckle, and her long.tulle veil-formed, a train. She carried, a sheaf of white roses, heath, and pink -hothouse ■ flowers. She was attended by Miss Joyce Stairmand, who wore an ankle-length frock of apricot lace and tulle, her crinoline hat being trimmed with a clustor of flowers under the brim. She carried a sheaf of apricot poppies and roses. On leaving the church the bride /was presented, with a white satin horseshoe by' Miss Nancy Heron. Mr. Alee Lindsay was best man. Mrs. Smith played the wedding music. The bride's mother Was in a smart frock of black mafocain with touches of white,1 andi a smart black hat tojtpne. She carried a posy of red roses', The bridegroom's mother v^ore a model frock of Burgundy marocain with small fawn hat; and carried a.posy of lemon pansies. A reception was held at' 26, Britannia street, Petone, the guests being received in a gaily 'decorated marquee on the lawn. The bride travelled in an orange and brown tweed ensemble, with brown straw, hat "to tone. '
