Seven, counsel-were present in the Supreme Court to-day for the hearing of an'application by Lady Edith May Hunter for a variation of the order, made by the Court on her behalf in June by making further and better provision for'her out of tho estate of her late husband,' Sir George Hunter., Under the order made in June, Lady Hunter received a sum of approximately £700 from tho capital of the estate. She based her application to the Court today on the ground that her financial circumstances, had become further embarrassed. '-~■. ■ ..-•••-'. . " ■
Mi-. Justice Blair held that lie could not entertain the application, and dismissed it, allowing '. costs,; to. be paid out of the estate,, to all parties other than the applicant. ■ ' -;- ■■■■ Mr. W. Perry suggested that .if fresh proceedings were taken on behalf of the child, Betty Hunter, it might be possible also for Lady Hunter to invoke sub-section 7 of section '33 of the Family Protection Act, 1908, ana that might- bo a solution •of the present .difficulty. ■.-.■■
