REPLACEMENT OF SLOOPS
TWO NEW VESSELS

AUCKLAND, This Day,
, Information has been received in Auckland that: the naval, sloops Veronica and Laburnum, which have been','about,, twelve years on the New Zealand .Station, are to be replaced-by vessels of- similar . design now,' being built in England. The new vessels will be oil burners and faster.
; , The Veronica will be replaced in 1934; and the Laburnum in 1935..
/ The replacement is said to be part of the naval programme which aims at Te: moving all wartimei. sloops. from commission by 1936.
