WADESTOWN BRANCH
Mrs. McGowan presided at the recent meeting of the Wadestown branch of the League of Mothers, when there was a large gathering, of members. Songs were sung by Mosdameg Gwynno and Brown, and a duet by Mrs. and Miss McKay. Mrs. S. Turner (vice-presi-dent) led the community singing, all joining heartily in ,the old-fashioned favourite sohgs. Mrs. D. Barnes was in charge of the musical arrangements. Posies of flowers were presented to tho president and secretary by Mrs. Turner m appreciation of their services. The posies were made by Mrs. McDonald of locally- grown flowers, Four tiny girls recited, much to the enjoyment of the members. As there will bo no meeting iigaia until March, all joined hands in sinking "Aulrl Lang Syne." A dainty tea '.vas served by an efficient
committee, and a very hearty vote of thanks "was accorded to all who had contributed to such a happy and successful afternoon.
