SYDNEY, 3rd January In the Sheffield Shield cricket match, Queensland, in the first innings, made 148 (Mossop 25). Hooker took two wickets for 30 runs, O'Eeilly two for 19, and Hird two for 5.
INew South Wales, in the second innings, lost five wickets for 173 runs (Hird 52 not out,,Nott 39, Solomon 24 not out).
