WASTE OF TIME
IRKSOME REGULATIONS (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. The "Otago Daily Times," referring to the regulations in relation to the unemployment relief tax on incomes, says:— . . "The method to be employed is one that may bo compared to the process for tho extraction of two grains of wheat from two bushels of chaff. If tho purposo were to provide needless work for Government officials the regulations would no doubt be admirably effective. The aim, however, of securing the data upon which the unemployment relief tax will be payable will be achieved through these regulations only at tho cost of serious waste of time and effort, not only on tho part of Public officers, but also on tho part of a very large number of members of the community. That revision of the regulations is urgently called for should be clearly recognised by tho Government. '' ____________
