VIOLENCE INCREASING
IN YANGTSE VALLEY TOKIO, fth October. Anti-Japanese violence is increasing in tho Yangtse- Valley. Although Japanese officials report to Tokio that the Chineso local authorities are trying their best, apparently they aro unable to protect Japanese residents from the mobs.
Four destroyers aro proceeding to Shanghai to assist in maintaining order.
