Spring Meeting was continued at Randwick to-day in delightful weather. The attendance was 44,000. The track was in splendid order. Aiitopay Vas installed a strong public fancy in the Shorts, following upon, his Epsoml victory. After tunning prominently in the early stages, he weakened towardithe end. Apparently Saturday's hard race had exacted toll. The Metropolitan went to a despised outsider in Strength. He was well placed
throughout, and finished stoutly under the vigorous riding of his jockey, Bartle, gaiuing victory by a head. Results:— SHOUTS HANDICAP, of 7 soys each, with DOB soys added. JTcrab was the early pacemaker, and led Into the straight from Autopny, Burracootbo. Holdfast, and Tom-Pinch, with High Disdain moving up smartly. When the horaes settled down Rondalina led the field from Sunlit Reef, Sir Dunlnald, Mr. Kerry, Senator, and Miss Noltava, Rondalina was tho first to turn for. homo, closely pressed by Sunlit Reef, Mr. Kerry, and Sir Duninald. Grand March led the field by three lengths along the back from .Don Moon, Vail, Exact, and First Acre. Grand March--was the first to turn for home from Dou Moon,' Vail, and First Acre. Don Moon soon took charge and appeared tho likely winner, .but Donnis Boy, finishing fast on the outside,! went on to score easily by three lengths. Time, 2mia s'/isec.
