WEDDINGS

The wedding was celebrated recently at St. Peter's Church, of Ruth Doris, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Griffiths, and Boger Edwin,, second son of Mrs. and the lato Mr. C. Squire, of Kartigi estate, Palmerston South. The bride, who was escorted by her father, Wore a frock of ivory satin, with pin tucks and silver lace, and her veil was arranged with orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of hyacinths and The bride's sister, Mrs. Alma Wilson, was matron-of-honour, and wore a frock of pink Broderie Anglaise, with felt hat to tone, her bouquet being of hyacinths and orchids. Two niecusof th'Ovbride, June and Valiuai Griffiths, wore': long: dainty pink frilled frooks of tho same material, and luilos of pink forget-me-nots. They also carried posies o.f rosebuds and heather. Tho bridegroom was. attended by Mr. Wilfred Griffiths. The Bey. Mr. Bullock performed the ceremony, and Mr. Shortt was at the organ.- The bride's mother wore a frock of Burgundy satin with hat to tone and a black sealskin coat. She carried a posy of orchids and violets. The reception -was held at the home of tho bride's parents. Later tho bride and bridegroom left for a tour of the South, after which ChristChurch will be their future home. Tho bride's goiug-away frock was of green wool lace with hat to match. She also wore a musquash fur coat.
