(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 28th August. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Bose (late of .Wellington) are leaving London this week for Juan les Pins, French Biviera, for a short holiday. Mrs. Bose is making steady progress after her recent operation, and the anticipated sunshine of the French coast is expected to complete the cure.' The Bey. H. S. Leach (formerly vicar of Fondalton, and now in charge of the parish of Arkengarthdale, Yorkshire) > has been appointed to the living _of Bolton-on-Swale, which is in the gift of the Bishop of Eipon. Between Bieh : mond and Northallerton, Bolton-on-Swale is on the high road between London and Scotland. The beautiful 14th century church possesses many features of beauty and historic interest. < Miss. Jean D. Hutch en (Wellington) has been touring in England and. Scotr land. In the North she found Barries country of particular interest, and she greatly enjoyed the privilege of going over Glamis Castle, With its delightful grounds. On 12th September MiS3 Hutchen will leave for a Continental tour, and meanwhile she is tripping in Devonshire, Cornwall, and Wales. She is also visiting Oxford and Worcester, Dr. J. H. Hall (Wellington), son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hall, is goingJ back, via Australia, on 3rd November. He will be accompanied by his bride. His marriage with Miss Monica Macdonald took place in London on 15th September. Dr. Hall came to'Cambridgo in 1923, and in 1928 he went to St. Thomas's Hospital Medical School. Mr. Marcus Marks (Wellington) has returned to London, but he has left his daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. and Miss M'Laren, in Scotland for a while longer. They are staying with relatives of Mr. M'Laren, and are having a rest prior to starting out for a Continental trip. A most delightful tour has been made in Scotland, with whose history Miss M'Lareu is well conversant. While inthe North, Mr. Marks attended the bowls tournament in Glasgow, and he was presented with the badge of the International Bowling Board by the Scottish National Association. The Continental tour will include Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Southern France, and Paris. There will still be time after that for a month/more in England, and in November they will leave for home, via Suez and Australia. Wellington should be reached immediately before Christmas. Mr. Marks has seen a good deal of Major Evelyn Wrench, founder of the Overseas League. Mr. Marks says that two outstanding events of his present tour are the Boyal Garden Party and the air display at Hendon.
