OLD NAVALS CLUB
The Old Navals' Rifle Club-fired the final shoot for the Franklyn Cup at Trentham on Saturday afternoon, over 800 yards and 900 yards ranges. A rear fishtail wind played havoc with the shooting, and clean targets were the order of the day. The best scores at 800 yards were P. Congreve 45, ,T. Pitt, J. Culling, W. Kelly, and. E. Franklyn- 40 each. At the 900 yards/range .T. Pitt was top with 44, followed by C. Lawton, junr., 40, R. Congreve 39, and R. Dawson, 39. The scores are as follow:—
F. Standidge, 37, 38, 4-79; J. Culling, 40 33, 6—79; J. Bell, 34, 37, 8-79; P. Congreve, 45, 29, 3-77; R. Congreve, 32, 39 6—77; F. Franklyn, 40, 32, 4—76; R. Dawson, 24, 39, 13—76; R. Mottram,.32, 35 5—72; A. Henderson, 31, 26, 10-67; J. Stevens, 23, 25, 13-61. '■ . The result- of the Franklyn Cup is as follows:—J. Pitt, 427; C. Lawton, junr., 424; J. Culling, 422. Next Saturday the ranges will be 800 and 900 yards. The shoot will be tlie nnal of the Hodder Cup. '
