LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

'. The St. John Ambulance Association was authorised by the Mayor's Committee to attend to the wants and comforts of the refugee patients in tho Hospital by supplementing in a suitable way the work of the hospital staff and with the approval of the matron. The association, with the help of -tho League of Mothers, has given every assistance p_ossible, and has visited and cheered the patients, providing clothing ' for them while in hospital, pyjamas and , night-dresses, bed jackets, toilet soap, i shaving outfits, flowers, magazines, etc., etc. The St. John Ambulance Associatioa is also providing free medical attention and nursing for patients when they leave* hospital's; and also in private homes, which lessens the strain on hospital accommodation.
