TELEGRAPH SERVICE NORMAL
The Secretary of the General Post Office reported this morning that telegraphic communication with Napier and Hastings is now normal. Working on the multiplex machine-printing system lias been reverted to and adequate provision given for Auckland and Wellington service to Napier. , Sufficient telegraph circuits to Hastings aro also available. Telegraph traffic to the earthquake area continues brisk, but is moderating, and can now be handled without undue delay. The conveyance of telegrams by aeroplane is no longer necessary, and has been discontinued.
