FREE PICTURE SHOWS
In response to a request from Mr. Morse, chairman of the Citizens' Belief Committee, Napier, the New Zealand Film Exchanges \Association are providing six free motion picture programmes per week for .screening at open-air shows in Napier under the control of competent motion-picture people, and three free programmes weekly for the refugees' camp at" tho Show Grounds, Palmerston North, where screening is under the control of tho V.M.C.A. Motion pictures are regarded, as the best form of entertainment to help relieve the minds of the refugees from their sufferings. It is the intention of the Kirn Exchanges Association to continue this service until tho camps are disbanded. The Eailway Department unhesitatingly agreed to transport all film for these screenings to and from Napier and Palmerston North free of charge.
