RESULTS IN DETAIL

TOTALISATOR FIGURES DOWN NEARLY 30 PER GENT.

The weather was again fine for the concluding day of the Woodville District Jockey Club's Summer Meeting, but the attendance was not up to the average of recent years. The track was in excellent order, and times were again fast. The totalisator turnover of £11,135 represented a drop of £3342 on the figures for the corresponding day last year. For the two days the investments amounted to £22,463, as against £31,230 last year, a decrease of £8767, or over 28 per cent. A feature' of the day was the success of favourites, tlie public choice being returned the winner in six out of the eight races. Three-year-olds had a particularly good time, half the races going to horses of that age. The winners were Beverage, Acmil, Pewa, and Kahikatoa.
