MARKETING OF EGGS
POULTRYKEEPERS ACTIVE
The marketing of eggs was discussed at a meeting of the executive of the AVellington aud Suburban Poultry Keepers' Club yesterday.
The view was expressed that the chaotic conditions which now existed acted to the detriment of the producer and consumer, and" the question was asked why the Government had not taken action in order to place the business on a proper footing by introducing marketing regulations which have been under consideration by the Department of Agriculture tor several months: . It was resolved:.'-That the executive of the Wellington Provincial Council of the New Zealand Poultry .Association be urgently, requested to call a full meeting oi the council to discuss the question, and to draw the attention of the Department of Agriculture to the urgent necessity oi protecting egg producers by hastening, as much as possible, the introduction of regulations governing the grading and selling o£ eggs."
