PARAPARAUMU CLUB
The. eighth annual general meeting of the Paraparaumu Cricket Club was held on Thursday evening, there being a; good attendance' of club members and support-
. The, report, oil. the activities of last season was of a very satisfactory nature. The club entered a-team in the Horowhenua Shield Competition. The report regrets that that meant a, great deal of travelling, but nevertheless, players fulfilled all their engagements, the total distance covered being 510 miles. During the season Mr. C. S. Dempster brought a team from Wellington; the-, visit nvas much appreciated by the local players. ■ The balance-sheet' showed a credit of £»23 11s 7d. The following officers were1 elected:— Patron, Mr. C. S. Brandon; president, Mr. C. P. Lynch; vice-presidents, Rev. H. Wilson, Dr. K. A. Cameron, Messrs. A. I. Mackay, .11. Smith (Paekakariki), J. Fitton, G. Brazier, W. ,Cromb, H. 1< itton, and A. Hardham. ' It was decided to open the season on 18th October. . '
