PETONE CRICKET- CLUB
The annual meeting of the Petone Cricket Club was held on Thursday • evening. The president, Mr. H. A. Ryder, was m the chair. There was a large and.enthusiastic gathering of members, arid the meeting, was one of the best in the history of the club, which has now reached its 21st The following officers were ■'■'.elected:—Patron, Mr. W. Nash, M.P.; president, Mr H. E. Ryder; vice-presidents, all reelected, with the addition of Mr. O'Leary; hon secretary, Mr. T. Ritchie; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. B. Martin; club captain, Mr. L. Laraey; vice-captain, Mr. J.. Coman; management committee, Messrs, W. A. Cate, G. Fairbairn, N. Smallwood, _G. Spence, J. Patrick, E. Edwards, P., O'Neil, P Hewitt, N. Bryant, B. W.- Fleet; delegates to Wellington Cricket Association* Messrs. W. S. Brice, G. Eotherham, G. Fairbairn, and R. S. Johnson; hon. auditor, Mr. A. E. White. . , ,' . As the Wellington coaching scheme does not meet the needs of the district,. Messrs. Brice, Patrick, and C. Nissen were appointed to report on the possibility_of obtaining a separate coach for the Hutt Valley- : ' .
