WEDDINGS

The marriage took place yesterday afternoon of Miss Zaidee Nathan, daughter of tbe late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nathan, Wellington, and Mr. John Horton, Hamilton. The bride wore a frock of rose beige marqnesette made with two deep frills on the skirt and' a'cape collar; she had a wide-brim-med hat of the same shade, and carried a posy of pale blue flowers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Adelphi Cabaret by Misses Gladys and Alice Nathan, the .guests being relatives and a few intimate friends of the bride and brie[egroom. The bridal table was set in the lounge of the ballroom, and on it was the wedding cake, which was surrounded with pink, blue, and white flowers.' Miss Gladys Nathan wore black lace with a black hat, and a black fur-trininied coat. She carried a posy of violets. Miss Alice Nathan wore floral chiffon in white, black, and yellow. With this.she wore a tightfitting black hat, and necklet and bracelets of black and white crystals. Among those present were Mr. Hubert Nathan (brother of the bride), Mr. and Mrs. George Nathan, Mr. Stanley Nathan (Gisbome), Mr. and Mrs. Percy Nathan , (Masterton), Miss Horton (Hawkes Bay), Miss Irene Horton (Blenheim), Mr. and Mrs. T. Horton (Masterton), Mrs. Maclaine (Blenheim), Lady Myers, Mr. and Mrs. F. Nathan (Palmerston North), Mrs. Jacobs (Palmerstou North), Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Nathan, Mrs. F. Hay, Mrs. Bernard Wood, Mrs. Erie Riddiford, Dr. and Mrs. Steele, Mrs. Baleombe-Brown, Miss Mary Jones, Miss A. Macintosh, Mrs. F. Beading, Mrs. J. B. MacEwan, and others. Mr. and Mrs. Horton will leave next week for a trip to England. The wadding recently took place at Khandallah of Miss Mary Winifred Miller, daughter of Mr. W. Miller, Simla avenue, and Mr. Hugh Cooper, of "Strowvar," Masterton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Cooper, of Gladstone. The ceremony was conducted by the Bey. 11. S. Watson, minister of the Presbyterian Church, Khandallah. ■ !
