REGISTERED ARTICLES MISSING

.SYDNEY, 29th April. The Postal Department here advises that bags of mail matter from Glasgow and Manchester, received by the liner Mooltan, now in Sydney, were pillaged in transit. The bags contained a number of registered articles which are missing. It is further reported from Perth that a registered mail bag has been stolen from the liner Chitral, now en route to Sydney. Lists of consignees also are missing. It will be difficult to trace the senders.
