A complaint■ had/been"received by the police from the owner'that men had been sleeping in tie shed, 'and as a result it,was visited-"bye.-constables on that beat. In. 1928, Howard had:been sentenced to one month's imprisonment for vagrancy.
The Magistrate (Mr. E. Page) sentenced Howard to 14 days' imprisonment.
