WEDDINGS

St. Andrew's Church, The Terrace, was tho sceuo of an evening wedding recently, when * Margaret Donaldson, only daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. J. Williamson, Miramar, was married to David Vivian, only son of Mr. D. Ritchie, Wellington South. ■ The ceremony , was performed by tho Bey. H. Hitchcock. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming French gown of silk, inset wth old lace (part- of tho wedding gown worn by her mother). An embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, and a bouquet of Christmas lilies, carnations, roses, and maidenhair fern completed a dainty toilette. The bride was followed by little Betty James, wearing a dainty frock of powder blue mariette, with a cap to match. Tho bridesmaids, Misses Eunice Ritchie and Edna Pidgeon, were 'becomingly dressed, tho former in lemon marietto, with a fitting bodice and full skirt, and a hat of lace straw to tone. The latter wore a frock of lavender marietto with a crinoline hat, and both carried bouquets to tone with their frocks.' Mr. C. M'Caskey was best man, and MrVK. Davey groomsman. Afterwards, a reception was held at St. Andrew's Hall, where the guests were received by the bride and bridegroom's parents. The bride's mother wore a handsome frock of blue marocain and silk lace, with a hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of sunset tints., Mrs. Ritchie wore, a model frock of fawn and turquoise blue, with a hat to match, and carried a'bouquet of autumn colouring.- The bride and bridegroom left later for the] South, tho bride wearing an ensemble of Wedgewood blue, with a felt hat of {he same shade.
