Th following . charitable bequests are made under1 the will of the late ;Margaret Uric, of Dunedin, of which the Public Trustee is executor:—.
The sum of £1500 to the Persbyterian Church Property Trustees, to be employed by them for the .use of. Seatoun (Wellington) parish for religious purposes; £25 to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at Wellington,' for the general charitable purposes of that society; £25 to British and Foreign Bible Society in New Zealand at Wellington,.'for the general charitable purposes, or religious .purposes, of that society; £50 to the Presbyterian Church Property' Trustees for the general religious and charitable purposes of the Presbyterian Orphanage conducted :by'that body in-Wellington; £50 "to the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees in New Zealand, to be employed for1 such charitable ,aud religious purposes connected with the home mission work in • New Zealand, as the trustees'shall determine.
The ultimate residue of the estate (approximately. £3200)' is to'be held in trust for payment to the Council of thei University of Otago, to be held by that body for tho foundation of: a' research fund, to be known.as the John Uric Memorial Fund, for research.- in- connection with cancer or other, kindred malignant diseases.
