NO FINALITY YET
PROPOSED FOURTH TEST

AUCKLAND, 17th February.
Effort* are being made to arrange a fourth Test match between the M.C.C. and New Zealand to take place in Auckland1, but late to-night no finality has been reached. The offer of another Test came from the M.C.O, and the captain, Gilligan, suggested next week-end, for th« match.
If the match takes place the Plunket Shield fixture between Anckland and Wellington, to start in Wellington next Friday, will be postponed nntil a later date, and this has been agreed to by both the Auckland and Wellington Associations.
Arrangements were made to»day for extra leave for tho New Zealand Test players, but the chief difficulty is the match set down between the M.C.C. and Taranaki at New Plymouth next Saturday and Monday. No reply has yet been received from the Taranaki Association as to its attitude to th§ pr«posaL A match has been arranged for the members of tho New Zealand team against a combined secondary schools' team on Wednesday, and another match will be fixed for Thursday.
