PLUNKET SHIELD MATCH

POSTPONEMENT XGREED SW)

One of the matters for consideration in making arrangements for tho fourth Test match, which, as mentioned in yesterday's "Post," the M.C.C. has offered the New Zealand Cricket Council, was tho Plunket Shield match between Wellington and Auckland, set down to commence at the Basin Beserve on Friday. The chairman (Mr. P. B. Broad) said there was a probability almost amounting to a certainty that Dempster and James would not be able to get leave to play again. Consequently the "gate" in Wellington would be affected, but he was not saying that by, way of oppoßing the motion. The motion was edrried, and it was I suggested that tbo dates for the Auck-land-Wellington match be the 7th, Bth, 10th, and jlth. March,
