SYSTEMATIC LOOTING
(Eeceived 24th December, noon.) • TOKIO, 23rd December Official dispatches reaching Tokio report systematic and exhaustive looting by Chinese soldiers in the towns along the Chinese Eastern Kailway. Over a hundred carloads of looted goods are now 'held by the authorities at Jalantan station, whilst quantities have already been sold. Investigations show that pillaging has done more serious damage than the military activities of both sides.
