PEACE WITH THE SOVIET
BACK TO THE STATUS QUO
MOSCOW, 23rd December. Kepresentatives of the Soviet, Mukden, and banking Governments negotiating at Khabarovsk, signed a protocol restoring the status quo on tho Chinese Eastern Railway. Peaco will bo restored immediately. On the Chineso and Soviet frontiers troops have been withdrawn on both sides. Those arrested have been released.
Full resumption of diplomatic relations awaits the settlement of outstanding questions. A Busso-Chinese conference will be held at Moscow on 25th January.
