ROYAL SHOW OPENED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCAHG-rLL, This Cay. The weather is fine but dull for"the Royal Show. Judging is now proceeding. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson were entertained at luncheon by the Southland Show Association. Among those present were Mr. W. Perry, president of the Eoyal A. and P. Society, the Minister of Lands (Mr. Forbes), the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, and Mrs. Woods, who represented Sir Joseph Ward. Later the show was officially opened by the Gov-ernor-General.
