DEPARTURE FOR SHANGHAI
(Eeeeivea 10th December, 1 p.m.) ! MANILA, 9th December. Admiral Charles M'Vay, commanded of the United States Asiatic Fleety sailed for Shanghai aboard the cruiser Pittsburgh to be at the "centre of trouble." Admiral M'Vay said that on account of the serious situation ia China and the possibility that the lives of American citizens might become en. dangered he believed it his duty ta go to Shanghai.
