Frazerhurst, M.D., !New Zealand Medical Corps, has rolmqmshed the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, Centra] Command, and has been appointed Director of Medical Services with the rank of Colonel, vice Colonel R, Tracy Inghs C.8.E., V.D., M.8., who has been transferred to the Reserve of Officers. The Minister of Lands (the' Hon. G W. Forbes), the. Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. P. A.de la Perrellc), and the Director-General of ' Agriculture (Dr. C. J. Reakes) will leale for InvercargiU to-night to attend the opening of the Royal.Show. . Dr. Carr Smith, Tangarakau, medical officer for the Public AVorks Railway, is having two months [' holiday and will return to, Johnson ville to-day. Hamilton, C.M.G., D.5.0., Grenadier Guards, who was military secretary to Lord Islington when the latter was Governor-General of New Zealand in 1910, left for England by the Rangitiki- this afternoon. Colonel Hamilton hasbeen spendingan extended vacation in Sew Zealand. - ■:;.. The Rev. A. J. Grigg, M.A., 8.D., has resigned the pastorate of the North Memorial Baptist Church, Remuera, to accept a position on the staff of the kew Zealand Baptist College, Auckland. He will take up his new duties at the beginning of the 1930 session.
