MAGISTRATE'S COURT
This morning's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. E. Page, S.M. . ..;-..-.'
Two first offenders for drunkenness were convicted aud discharged. 'Rudolph "Yon Gniber, an engineer, aged 30, was charged with having stoleu a pair of field glasses, valued at £5. Chief-Detective Lopdell-said that three other charges would be made against the accused, who had been-escorted from Auckland. A remand on bail was granted to Friday. .
William Thomas pleaded guilty to the theft of a ring, and -was committed to two years' probation.
