WEDDINGS
A recent wedding solemnised at St. Paul's pro-Cathedral, Wellington, was that of Isabel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Colledge, Miramar, to James Knight, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Burnett, Johnsonville. The Eev. A. T. H. Page, Miramar, performed the ceremony. Tho church was beautifully decorated with lilies and other white flowers. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was in ivory crepe satin, trimmed with handsome lace. Her embroidered veil was of cream net, worn with'a coronet and small posies of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of roses, carnations, and white heather, tied with tartan streamers, which had been sent out from Scotland. There were thTee bridesmaids, Misses Nessie Paxton Vera Lusky, and Beatrice Mehaffy, whose dainty frocks were of rose pink mariette with lace berthas. Wide straw hats of rose crinoline and pink streamers were worn, and bouquets of sweet peas were carried. Mr. Southern Colledge was best man, and Messrs. W. M'Whinney and J. : Colledge were groomsmen. A gift of a lucky horseshoe was presented to the bride as she left the church by Poppy Mason. The bridegroom V gifts to the bridesmaids were necklaces, and to the bride he gave a handbag. The bride presented the bridegroom with gold studs and links. The wedding reception, which was attended by about two hundred guests, wa.s held at the Eealm, Hataitai, the bridal party being welcomed by bagpipe music, played by Mr. J. M'Millan. Mrs. Colledge received the guests wearing boige georgette and lace and a hat to match, her bouquet being of tea roses. Mrs. J. Burnett (mother of the bridegroom) was in black and beige, and a hat to match; ther bouquet being of. red roses. ; The evening passed in1 dancing. When Mr. arid' Mrs. James Burnett, jnr., loft for the- north the bride wore a frock of turquoise blue crepe satin, with lemon touches under a tailored coat of fawn tweed, and'a small fawn hat. ;
