NATIONAL Y.W.C.A.
Dr. Sylvia Chapman presided at a meeting of the National Y.W.C.A. Other members present were Mrs. David Smith, Mrs. 11. D. Bennett, Miss Holmes, Miss Ella Fair, Mrs. Clarke, Mrs. G. Scholefield, . Mrs. Patterson, Miss Eonayne, Mrs. Ernest Dawson, Miss Leila Bridgman. Eeports from the various associations in New Zealand were received. Miss Jean Begg (general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. in Auckland) was, present, and gave an account of her duties as project director of the social service programme of the Pan-Pacific Women's Conference, to be held in Honolulu in August, 1930. An itinerary for Miss Kimura, a secretary of tho Y.W.C.A. in Japan visiting New Zealand, was drawn up, which will permit her to spend a week or more in each of the Y.W.C.A.'s of New Zealand. Plans for tho Girl Citizens' Conference, to be held in Christchurch in January, were made, and Miss Bridgman gave an account of the programme that had been planned for this conference. It was reported that Miss Beardsley, general secretary of the Dunedin YAV-C.A., had resigned, and had left for England owing to family illness there.
