WHERE-AND WHEN?
DAIRY EXPERIMENTAL STATION,
Tho report of Sir Frank Heathy and tho Government's endorsement of it, gave pause to the rapidly maturing project of erecting at Wallacevillo a dairy laboratory and experimental station. "Put it in a dairying district," said Sir Frank Heath, in effect. To many people the more important question is not where tho dairy laboratory will bo put, but when it will be put. Tho New Zealand Dairy Producers Board, in its annual report, after emphasising the need of the institution, remarks: "The visit of Sir Frank Heath, lit tho invitation of the Govern-' ment, to examine and report upon general scientific development, in Now Zealand, justifiably suspended this movement. Ilis refiyri; having been presented and pi'olimiuary stops taken to establish the central college and organisation suggested, it is hoped that early attention will bo given to the dairy laboratory and experimental factory."
