Tho flat land on the north bank of the Waimakariri is threatened by a change in the course of the river, according to a report presented at the meeting of the River Trust this morning. In view of this, the trust's engineer will investigate the matter and report later. The last flood in the river involved an expenditure of £167 for repair of the groynes, and the samo flood resulted in a diversion to the north side, where the water is now striking tho flats which have not been touched for forty years.
