BENEFIT VARIETY CONCERT.

A well-attended concert was held last evening in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall by the Maori Variety Entertainers to assist the Loyal Britannia Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., in raising funds for a Christmas tree for children. The programme was opened by a burlesque "Pickle Revolt" by the company, and certainly was very humorous. Another item which brought a good laugh was a comic song by Mossy and Tipp, entitled "A Negg, a Nham, and a Nonion." A song by Miss C. Young, and a violin solo by Miss V. Morrison were other items that brought an appreciative round of applause.
