THIRD REPRESENTATIVES WIN.
Providing one of the curtain-raisers at Athletic Park, representatives' of the local third grade tried conclusions with the Nelson junior representatives, and scored an easy victory by 21 points to nil. In the early stages play was of a fairly even nature, and the teams changed over for the second spell with the score reading:— Wellington 5, Nelson 0. For a time both sides took a fair share in attack, but towards the end Nelson lost a good deal of their dash, and Wellington added to their score in quick time. For Wellington, Clarke, Higgins, Gorrie, Wells, and Organ scored tries, three of which were converted by Webb.
