CHRISTCHURCH, sth Sept. The touring team defeated the B team by 49 points to 13 in a trial match yesay" DUNEDIN, sth September. Otago met and defeated South Canterbury at Carisbrook on Saturday by 14 points to 11 after an interesting game. There was an attendance of 8000 people, and the playing area was in fine condition. CARTERTON, sth September. Gladstone (holders) defeated Greytown by 6 points to nil in a match for the Redmond Cup on Saturday.. In the junior competition Old Boys (Masterton) defeated Tuhirangi (Lower Valley) by 17 points to 9 for the Pearson Cup at Greytown.
