STILL CARRYING ON
"ROLL DOWN" IN CHRIST-
CHURCH.

CHEISTCHUKCH, 31st Aug.
The "roll down" case, in which Joseph Harlow and Herbert Robinson wore charged with keeping a common gaming house in Lower High street, was called at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Mr. Tracy applied for a week's adjournment. He said th.at the game .had been held illegal by the Supreme Court, but the only news so far was that telegraphed to tho newspapers. He wished' to look into the matter when the detailed judgment was available. Chief-Detective Gibson: "When the case was first called Mr. Thomas agreed to abide by the Supreme Court decision, and I consented to that. The game has been held to be illegal." The Magistrate: "Are they still carrying on?" Mr. Gibson: "Yes, and Eobinson has disappeared." Mr. Tracy: "We are prepared to take a shorter adjournment than one week." The Magistrate: "If they carry on the polico can prosecute again." Tho case was adjourned till Friday.
