SUBSIDIES TO COUNTY COUNCILS.
Mr. A. Hamilton (Wallace) intends to ask the Minister of Internal Affairs, whether he will take immediate steps to give effect to'the resolution passed by the Counties Conference which affirmed the principle that all Government subsidies of 5s in the pound on rates should be paid on a uniform basis over the whole of the general rates collected.
