SUBDIVISION OP DOMINION,

WANGANUI, 29th January.. In conenction with the special meeting of ,the. New Zealand Cricket Associa--tion on Friday with reference to the Hawke Cup rules, the Wanganui Association has adopted a proposal to cut both Islands into groups as follow:— Group 1, Ppverty Bay, Hawke3 Bay, Wairarapa, and Manawatu ; Group 2, South Auckland, Rangitikei, Wanganuir and Taranaki; Group '3, Marlborough, Nelson, and West Coast.; Group 4, Southland, ' North Otago, South Canterbury. ■ Any other association not included in the above to challenge the' nearest association. Failing this scheme, Wanganui decided to support the Southland proposal, but .to emphatically protest against the inclusion of Nelson and Marlborough in the North Island.
