"THE FOUR HORSEMEN"

It is unfortunate that it has been found impossible to present "The Toreador" at the Grand Opera House this and to-morrow evenings, but one 'of the principals of the company has been called away from Wellington, and at short nolico it was not possible to make up a complete cast with full justice to the Wellington Amateur Operatic Society and to the opera itself, but the executive of the Welcome Week committeo has now arranged two big picture nights at the Opera House, with special music by an augmented orchestra, and a band concert on the balcony. "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" has been secured as the big film, and it is claimed to be the greatest of many very fine pictures of the last two years. It is a penuino million-dollar production from the Metro studios, a picture which may be enjoyed once or twice or half-a-dozen times, and in proof of the latter asser-, fcion is the fact thai "The Four Horsemen" has broken practically every longrun film record in the United States. Other items -will go to the making of a very generous programme.

A very interesting.'evening of boys' boxing will *ake place on Thursday. 1 when fifteen bouts will be staged at the Opera Hua*e. Winners will be prasented with gold medals!'

The committee again request all business people to fly their flags during Welcome Week. Many business people are giving every possible help and entering into the spirit of the occasion, but the committee regrets that others are not doing their part. All can help by flying whatever bunting is available, and by making their places as attractive as possible.
