Orders have bee* issued to arrest the president and secrrtvrv of the United Mine Workers' Association which struck in sympathy with the steelworkers, as a protest against the occupation of Cape Breton by Federal.-.provincial troops. Additional troops are being sent into the disturbed districts. (Received 9th July.' 2 p.m.) SYDNEY (Nova Scotia), Bth July. Dan Livingston, president, and James MacLnchlin, secretary. of the local branch of the United Mine Workers of America, have been arrested as the sequel to their circulation of a letter urging the general coal miners' strike.
