MASTER LUPIN WINS THE STEEPLES.
(BI TEL-GRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 3rd June. The Auckland Racing Club's Winter Meeting was continued in excellent weather with a record attendance. _ The track was in good order. The totalisator handled £78,966, making £137,20. for the two days, an increase, of £11,231 10fi over tho corresponding' two days last year. B-fenco of results: — King George Handicap, of 7EO soys; seven furlongs.—ll Housewife, 9.2, 1; 1 Parisian Diamond, 12.0, 2; 7' White Blaze, 9.7, 3. -Also started: 6 Tinopai 11.6. Magamahoe 10.10, 8 Bedford 11.6, _ Hurry Up 9.13, 4 Hyllus 9.13, 10 AU Talk 9.'10, 7 White Blaze 9.7, 3 Escaped 9.4, 13 Paddington Green 9.3, 5 R.ckfield 9.0, 12 Post Haste 9.0, 14 Metehiko--9.0, 19 Fabriquette 9.0. Hurry Up led to the distance, "where Housewife and Parisian Diamond came through, the for-mer-winning comfortably by three-quar-ters of a length.- White Blaze, which finished well, was a head away. Time, lmin 30 2-ssec. . , v Jumpers' Flat, of 250 soys; one mile and a quarter.—7 Entente Cordial-, 9.0, 1; 6 Signature, 9.2, 2; 1 Reformation, 9.9, 5. Also, started: 2 Otara, 10.4, 4 Notability 10.2, 5 Keystone 9.0, 3 Gunwale 9.0, 8 Toiara Jack 9.0. _ Entente Cordiale led all the way, winning easily by threo lengths from Signature, which beat Reformation, which was always well placed, by a head. Time, 2i_in 4-3ec. Carbine Plate, of 250 soys; one mile.— 4 Omahu, 11. _, 1; 2 Cynic, 11.0, 2; 3 Gatherer, 11.0. 3. Also started: 8 Benzine 11.0, 7 Idra. 11.0, 5 Lady Paula 11.0, 9 Multiplane 11.0, 11 Silver Lode 11.0, 5 Torchlight 11.0, 12 No Brother 10.10, 7 Teoro 10.10, 1 Hineamar. 10.10. Omahu led all the way, wuming comfortably by a. neck from Cynic, which finished very fast, beating Gatherer by three lengths. Time, lmin 45sec.
