A cable message has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company stating that the steamer Rotorua, from London via Capetown, reached Hobarfc this morning. The vessel is due in Wellington late on Saturday evening or the first thing on Sunday morning. THE IONIC. Cable advice received by the local agents of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company states that the lonic left Capetown on Saturday afternoon, continuing her voyage to Hobarfc and Wellington. The Arahura left Greymouth at 9.30 o'clock this morning ftm Wellington, via Westporl?, Nelson, and Picton The Whakatane left Wellington at 4 o'clock on Friday afternoon for Lyfctelton, but no news of 'the vessel was received until 8 p.m. on Saturday. The Whakatune's passage was delayed by the prevalence of fog, and on her run down she kept a. wide berth from the laud. She was signalled on Saturday evening, and dropped anchor about ten miles off the heads, coming into port yesterday morning; The vessel wyi load laige consignments of wool, frozen meat, and tallow at Lyttelton.
