PUBLIC SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL.
" Old Boy " submitfi to The Post that the members of the Wellington Public Schools Rugby Union, in rejecting (by seven votes to five) the application of the Marist Brothers' School to take part in the competitions, have not fnrnisned the public with reasons for the decision. The writer claims that the seven opponents are in duty bound to try to justify their action in the eyes of the public.
The sum of £148 for forty-nine prizes is offered this year by the proprietors of Toiiking's Linseed Emulsion. Particulars of the competitions are advertised in this issue, also of the public prize. A notice regarding the accountants' examination syllabus is advertised in this issue. The first annual meeting of the University Reform Association will be held this evening at Victoria College, at 3.15 o'clock. The annual icport will bo dealt with, also the summary of th^ replies received from abroad. Professor Laby's address in university organisation will ba illuatrprnd by lantern elides.
