ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.

While out rabbit shooting near Terawhiti yesterday a young man named William R. Kruger, of No. 11, Belfaststreet, was accidentally shot in the left knee by his companion, William M'Carthy. M'Carthy was in, the act of firing at a rabbit when his foot slipped, and Kruger, who was standing about thirty yards away, received the charge. The sufferer was admitted to the hospital last evening. To-day he was reported to be making a rapid recovery, and the. accident is not likely to have very serious results.
