ASSAULT AND ROBBERY IN THE CITY.
On Monday afternoon a man named Jas. Richardson, who arrived at Wellington from Feilding that day, was assaulted in Sj dney-&fcreet between the hours of 5 and 6 o'clock, and robbed of £44. Investigations by the detective force resulted in the arrest last evening by Detectives Camed-on, and Hammond of a young man named Norman Manson, alias Williams, who was charged with being implicated in the offence. Maneon appeared before Mi 1 . W. G. Riddell, S.M., at the Iviagistrate's Court this morning, and on the application of Chief Detective Broberg, was remanded until the 19th inst.
